Our Story

A Different Spirit. An Enduring Legacy.

One life. One family. A future filled with hope.

Our Founding Story

Turning Grief Into Love in Action.

The Caleb Love Foundation was established by the Love family in loving memory of Caleb Lampkin Love, beloved brother of Charles Love, MHS, Co-Founder and Executive Director.

Caleb was someone truly special. His family described him as having a “different spirit,” a “leader of men” who loved unconditionally and demonstrated a remarkable generosity of heart. His love, loyalty, and compassion left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

To those who loved him most, Caleb was so much more than a name or a memory. He was Kelly's husband; a father to Laila, Caleb Jr., and Kyler; Cahil's big brother and Chuck's little brother; and the beloved youngest son of Cassandra and Charles — their baby boy. He was also a treasured friend whose love, loyalty, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Following Caleb's untimely passing, his family experienced a profound loss. Yet even in their grief, they were determined that his life, his spirit, and the love he gave so freely would continue making a difference.

The Caleb Love Foundation was born from that determination: a family's labor of love, transforming grief into love in action.

Anchored in faith, family, and service, the foundation honors Caleb's memory by extending the same compassion, generosity, and belief in others that characterized his life.

Drawing on the family's lived experiences and decades of professional work across juvenile justice, behavioral health, substance-use recovery, child welfare, education, and community services, the foundation is dedicated to empowering system-impacted youth ages 14–24.

Through mentoring, workforce development, prevention education, and supportive community connections, we seek to ensure that young people have the relationships, resources, and opportunities needed to achieve stability, independence, and lasting success.

Caleb's life taught us the power of unconditional love. His legacy challenges us to put that love into action.

Today, that commitment continues through the Caleb Love Foundation's mission:

Breaking Cycles. Building Futures.

“Love is more than a feeling. Love is an action.”
